News You Can Use                                                      

Summer is almost here!                       

The last week of school will be very different and has special schedules. On the 18th, all students come for the morning sessions from 8:15-10:50 so that both classes can participate in Field Day. On the 19th -the last day of school- we have a trip to the Children’s Farm at the Center. All students should arrive at school at 9 am. There will be no PM session on these days.                                 

Next Thursday and Friday, families will take the last of their child’s work, grade report and summer activity packet at pickup. Our last homework sets will include your choice of a journal to write in, a story book and a few other fun activities to do with your child this summer. Remember, reading with your child is the absolute best way to help him or her start school ready to succeed.

In these last few weeks we will go outside every day that we can. Please be sure to send a light jacket on cooler days and that your child is wearing playground friendly shoes. Flip-flops and open sandals make it hard to have a good time in the wood chips.
